Book Checkout Information
The library is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on school days.
- Kindergarten students check out one book for one week.
- First and second graders check out two books for two weeks.
- Third graders check out up to three books for two weeks.
- Fourth and fifth graders can check out up to four books for two weeks.
Battle of the Books
Fifth-grade students who love to read and want a challenge are invited to participate in the Battle of the Books. In the spring, students compete with schools around the city in a trivia competition based on 40 novels they have read.
A list of the books and more information is available in the library. You can also talk with Mrs. Howard, our school's sponsor.
If you are in third or fourth grade and would like to participate when you are in fifth grade, you can start reading some of the novels now. See Mrs. Jensen for where to find the Battle Books in the library.
