At Prairie Hills, our commitment is to Grow and Achieve Together. We recognize that learning looks different for each child, and not all students and families have the same needs. At Prairie Hills Elementary School, we value every individual academic journey. Together with families, we nurture academic, social and emotional growth in each student.

Ashley Livingstone, Principal

Welcome to Prairie Hills Elementary (PHE)! I am excited to begin my 3rd year as the Principal at Prairie Hills Elementary. My name is Ashley Livingstone. I grew up in Michigan (Grand Rapids area) where most of my family still live. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology/Special Education from Grand Valley State University and my Masters in Educational Leadership is from the University of Northern Colorado. I moved out to Colorado Springs, CO and began my career in education in Widefield District 3 where I worked for 13 years. During this time, I served as the Center-Based SED/AN Special Education Teacher at Talbott Elementary, Assistant Principal at Venetucci Elementary, and Principal at Venetucci Elementary. Personally, I am married and we have two daughters: Paige who is 20 years old, and Rowan, who is four-and-a-half-years old. We also have two dogs, a GoldenDoodle named Gunnar and a German Shepherd named Camo. I enjoy spending any free time I have with my family and friends.

I value parent input and involvement. As a Prairie Hills team, we look forward to a great 2024-2025 school year partnership with you as we work together to grow our young Coyotes! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions and/or feedback at ashley.livingstone@asd20.org or 719-234-5100.

Susan Yoon, Assistant Principal

Welcome back, Coyotes! My name is Susan Yoon, and I am excited to be back at Prairie Hills this year as the Assistant Principal. I am a Colorado native- born and raised here in Colorado Springs. I love to read, listen to music, watch TV and movies, exercise, be outside in the sunshine, and be with family and friends. I attended college at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and English. I then taught 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades in District 49 before becoming a Teaching and Learning Coach in District 11. From there I attended received my Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership, and I have been an Assistant Principal for the past 7 years, 3 of which are now here at Prairie Hills, my favorite place to be! Prairie Hills is a special place, and I truly feel lucky to be a leader and part of this unique and talented team. I have three amazing kids- Brenna (8), Ava (6), and Everett (3) who keep me very busy! They love gymnastics, music, movies, and playing outside. I love being a mom, and it drives me to make the school experience for all kids the best it can be. We also have a 3 year old dog named Coco who loves to play with the kids!

I look forward to partnering with families this school year as we work as a team to grow our Coyotes socially, emotionally, and academically. It is my passion to make sure that I know students, their families, and their stories so that all students know they belong here and are safe and welcome every day.
