Please review the procedures for drop-off, pick-up, crosswalk use, and early dismissal, and follow all posted signs and staff directions. Your cooperation supports a safe and efficient environment for all students and families.","\u003Ch2>Arrival\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Students may be dropped off at 8:00 a.m. each school day.&nbsp;\u003Cstrong>Supervision will begin at 8:00 a.m.\u003C\u002Fstrong>&nbsp;so it is important that students do not arrive early. Students will go directly to their classrooms starting at 8:00 a.m. Students may enter the building through the main entrance doors or the east doors nearest the 1st grade hallway (near the learning cottages). Bus riders only may enter through the cafeteria doors. Kindergarten students will enter the building at the kindergarten classroom doors. We do not encourage parents to walk their children into class, but if you feel it is necessary all parents must sign in at the office to walk with their children to the classrooms. If a student arrives after 8:15 am, parents\u002Fguardians should escort the student into the building and sign them in at the front office as tardy.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>If parking and walking your students to the school,&nbsp;\u003Cstrong>please use the crosswalk\u003C\u002Fstrong>. It is extremely dangerous for students and parents to jaywalk, as you may not be seen by oncoming traffic. Please park in the designated parking area. Students are not permitted to walk through the parking lot by themselves. They must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>Kiss &amp; Go Drop Off\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Between 8:00-8:15 am students may be dropped off in the front “Kiss &amp; Go” lane located in the East Parking Lot. Please drop students off after passing the stop sign located at the front main entrance crosswalk zone, stay in your vehicle, and do not leave your vehicle unattended in designated fire zones or drop off lanes. Utilize the through lane \u003Cstrong>only\u003C\u002Fstrong>- please do not cut through parking spots to get ahead of the care line as this will cause backups and is unsafe. Staff will prompt vehicles to pull up as far as possible in the “Kiss &amp; Go” lane to allow as many cars as possible and help drop off run efficiently. Parents, guardians and other adults dropping students off should follow traffic patterns and procedures as indicated by signage, parking lot markings, and staff on duty.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Students are required to exit and enter the car on the passenger side. Students will not be allowed to get in or out on the driver’s side.\u003C\u002Fstrong>&nbsp;If for some reason there is not access to exiting\u002Fentering on the passenger side, parents will need to park their vehicle to pick up their child. After school, students are required to wait at the Kiss-N-Go location.&nbsp;\u003Cstrong>Students are not permitted to play on the playground or field while waiting for parent to pick-up. Students need to be picked up promptly after school.\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>Cross Walks\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>All adults and students must use the designated crosswalks in the parking lots. It is important that we model safety for students in the parking lots so as not to encourage students to walk across traffic without proper signage. We have many sunny spots in the morning that prohibit drivers from seeing well. All outside doors will remain locked during school business hours. When entering the building during school hours, all visitors will be required to check in at the front office and may be required to show identification.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>Dismissal\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Students are dismissed at 3:20 pm and should be picked up promptly at that time unless they are in an after-school club or have made arrangements with the child(ren)’s teacher. Children are to go directly home after dismissal from school or special activity. No one will be allowed to remain on school grounds unless supervised. Please remind your children not to go to anyone’s house after school without making prior arrangements with you. If students remain after school for longer than 15 minutes, parents will be notified, and transportation is the responsibility of the parent. If you will be late picking up your child, please call the front office immediately.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>Pick Up Your Child Promptly\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>All classes are dismissed at 3:20 pm, and all parents\u002Fauthorized adults must be at the school to pick up their children. If children are not picked up on time and parents are unable to be contacted, your emergency contact will be notified and asked to assume care of your children.
